Neoprene Color

Neoprene is usually coated with nylon layers on each side. While the rubber itself in most cases is black, the nylon layers can be varied in color. For immersion suits our competitors use this black neoprene with an orange nylon coating. This concept nevertheless has one disadvantage - upon water contact the orange nylon gets wet and the black rubber is shining through.

This reduces the visibility of the suit in an undesirable way and might affect the odds of being spotted by S&R teams. Therefore aquata only uses synthetic neoprene of yellow-brownish color which will not lead to a darkening of the suit in the water. The color of the neoprene material does furthermore not have any impact on its resistance to UV-rays.
